Polish translation of "TYPO3 CMS 6.2 LTS - What's New"
Agata Jaworska 15.09.2014 TYPO3

Today we present our Polish translation of the "TYPO3 CMS 6.2 LTS - What's New" slides. It contains a summary of the new features, changes and improvements in the new version of CMS TYPO3 6.2 LTS.

The slides are already available in 8 languages on the typo3.org.

During our work we encountered a few problems for which we had to wade. To create a  Polish translation we had to add Polish diacritics to the official TYPO3 font "Share". Unfortunately some Polish accent characters, including "ż" and "fi" did not work properly with LaTeX. We had to modify the font again and precisely change the names of characters. We also installed RestTools and LaTeX environment locally to be able to perform tests of our translations.

After three days of exhaustive translations and fight with the fonts we successfully finish the job. Project coordinator Michael Schams, added a Polish version of this font "Share" to LaTeX environment installed on the server, in order to generate a final version available for all.

The current version is a beta version, so please let us know if you find any errors so we can put our translation to the typo3.org

It is also worth to mention that TYPO3 CMS 6.2 LTS version will be supported at least until April 2017 so we encourage to get familiar with it and stay a little bit longer. We hope our slides will be useful!

Greetings,

Kuba and Bartek.
